Today’s article is titled:

Charleston SC Real Estate Blog:  Wassamassaw Plantation Moncks Corner SC 29461 Vacant Estate Size Lots for Sale

Wassamassaw Plantation is a gated community in Berkeley County that is easily accessible from Route 176 by turning right onto Wassamassaw Lane, just north of the intersection with Cooper Store Road.  Wassamassaw Plantation is only minutes from downtown Summerville, Goose Creek, and Moncks Corner.  Wassamassaw Plantation is in Cane Bay School District.

A stunning natural environment of unspoiled beauty surrounds the amenities of Wassamassaw Plantation which features a fully built amenity center with a large swimming pool, picnic area, park, walking trails, and a pier with two lakes that are conducive for canoeing or kayaking.

Approximately 100 lots in Wassamassaw Plantation were opened to the public in 2007 with many lots being sold.  The economic downturn in 2008 resulted in a slow-down in development.  The spring of 2010 saw a revitalization of Wassamassaw Plantation by the developer.  Price adjustments to reflect the real estate market resulted in up to 75% off the original selling price of the 44 lots still held by the developer.  Currently, 14 out of 44 lots have been sold or are pending sale.  Lots owned by the developer in Wassamassaw Plantation range from $39,900 to $85,000.  Financing for lots is available through Heritage Trust Bank with as little as 10% down.

Wassamassaw Plantation is a perfect opportunity for local builders looking for a highly favorable price point on an estate lot in a gated community.  HOA regulations allow for a 2,200 square foot minimum size home with no required time to build.  Berkeley County has approved public water access and is working with the project engineer for final tap-in guidelines.  Lots require the use of an engineered septic system.  All surveys, septic approvals, and site plans convey.

As always, your thoughts, questions, or comments are greatly appreciated.
